Welcome to Orunmila BEC Shield. By installing, accessing, or using our Chrome extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the extension.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and Orunmila BEC Shield ("we", "our", "us"). By using the extension, you affirm that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. Description of Service

Orunmila BEC Shield is a Chrome extension that uses local heuristics (Guardian) and optional cloud-based multi-agent AI (Oracle/Pro) to analyze emails for Business Email Compromise (BEC), phishing, and impersonation attempts. The service provides a threat score (0–100) and a safety bucket (SAFE, CAUTION, SUSPICIOUS, HIGH) to assist users in identifying malicious emails.

3. User Accounts & License Tiers

• Basic (Guardian): Free tier offering 20 local scans (plus optional +20 bonus via social sharing). Includes local heuristic detection.
• Guardian Plus / Oracle / Pro / Enterprise: Paid tiers offering increased monthly scan limits and access to the multi-agent AI model for higher accuracy. Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually as selected.
• Device Binding: Paid licenses are bound to a single device at a time. You may deactivate a device and transfer the license to another device.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

• Use the extension for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the extension or its backend APIs.
• Circumvent license restrictions, scan limits, or rate limiting mechanisms.
• Submit false or misleading data to the API to manipulate threat scores.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property associated with Orunmila BEC Shield are owned by us. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the extension for personal or internal business purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit written consent.

6. Data Privacy

Your use of the extension is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the service, you consent to the collection and processing of data as described in the Privacy Policy, including the transmission of email metadata to our secure backend for AI analysis.

7. Termination & Suspension

• By You: You may uninstall the extension at any time. Your local data will be removed from your browser.
• By Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in abusive behavior, or failed to pay subscription fees.
• Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your paid license will expire, and your scan history may be deleted from our servers after 30 days.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE EXTENSION AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE EXTENSION WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ORUNMILA BEC SHIELD OR ITS DEVELOPERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE EXTENSION, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE EXTENSION IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of London, UK.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via the extension popup or email. Continued use of the extension after 30 days of such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
